What would YOU ask ANNIE THORISDOTTIR?

Annie Mist Thorisdottir, A.K.A The Fittest Woman on Earth. Don’t let the pretty smile and polite demeanor fool you, Annie Thorisdottir is the two-time Reebok Crossfit Games champion who has been taking the CrossFit world by storm.

The Iceland native (nicknamed “Iceland Annie”) is only twenty-two years old, stands at 5 ft. 7 in. tall, and weighs in at a powerful 148 pounds.  Annie’s passion for CrossFit stemmed from her life-long love affair with athletics.  Competing in gymnastics, ballet, and pole vaulting growing up, Annie has always been an athlete.

However, when her focus took a turn towards CrossFit, Annie really began to make a name for herself in the fitness industry.  With her trademark golden pony tail and grin, Annie arrived at the 2009 CrossFit Games with only two months experience in the sport.  She entered the Iceland CrossFit Regionals (at a friend’s suggestion), and won- qualifying her for the games.

Fast track to today and Annie is the only two-time CrossFit games winner (she took first place in 2011 and 2012, and second in 2010), and is continuing to kill it in the CrossFit community.

“I think my strengths are I can usually keep on going. I don’t really need to stop and rest, I can push myself pretty hard.”

With her super-human strength and determination, Annie has excelled in WOD’s that would bring a grown man weeping to their knees.  It’s no doubt that Icelandic Annie is going to be rocking CrossFit for years to come, and it’s only going to get more insane!
